Membership

I.I.E Membership is an excellent way of joining with professional peers in advancing your career giving you the opportunity to continually update your knowledge and expertise through our many membership services.

On being accepted as a member of the Institute you automatically become a member of the American Institute of Industrial Engineers, where you can gain access to means of advancing your career and networking with thousands of American members of the Institute. You receive a copy of the American Institute''s monthly magazine "Industrial Engineer"and through its pages

readers can keep abreast of developments in the profession.
The branch network strives to facilitate on-going interaction among members. As a member you gain the right to the use of designatory letters and membership certificate. The Institute also provides opportunities for further education, Library facilities, a Video library, Recruitment services. and Consultancy services.

Members also have the opportunity to become affiliated to other related professional bodies and through the Institute make representation to government and other regulatory bodies.

Membership Grades

There are two grades of membership - CORPORATE and NON-CORPORATE. A CORPORATE member is entitled to vote at Gereral Meetings and to use the designatory letters F.I.I.E., P.I.I.E. and MIIE after his/her name. A NON-CORPORATE member is not entitled to vote at General Meetings and does not use designatory letters.

Corporate Members

Corporate Fellow

The Council may elect to Fellowship, Corporate Practitioner Members or Corporate Members who have been such, for at least seven years and who have in it’s opinion rendered outstanding service to the profession of Industrial Engineering. Only those whose professional reputation has been virtually permanently established shall be admitted.
Designatory letters will be used to signify this type of member (FIIE).

Corporate Members

A corporate member will hold a degree (equivalent to at least level 7 on the Irish NFQ) and a demonstrable interest in the creation and management of systems that integrate people, materials and energy in a productive way.
The method of demonstrating interest will be at the discretion of the National Council or its delegated subcommittee and updated periodically.
Designatory letters will be used to signify this type of member (MIIE).

Corporate Practitioner Member

A corporate practitioner member will hold a degree in an engineering, science or management discipline (equivalent to at least level 7 on the Irish NFQ).
Applicants for Corporate Practitioner Membership will be able to demonstrate to the National Council
